The Sundance® Optima® is the flagship model of the 880™ Series. It’s a large, seven-seat spa built for proper, targeted hydrotherapy — not just a warm soak. If two people in the same household want completely different things from a hot tub, this is usually the one we point them towards.

Room for six, with a seat for everyone

At 226cm x 226cm, the Optima is generous without being unwieldy. What sets it apart in the 880™ Series is the seat variety — seven differently designed positions, each with a different hydrotherapy focus. The Accu-Ssage™ Therapy Seat works the full length of your back in one go; other seats target shoulders, legs, and feet specifically. Nobody has to compromise.

Fluidix® jets

The Optima has 49 water jets and 8 air jets, all using Sundance®’s patented Fluidix® technology. There are no moving parts to wear out or clog — they work by mixing air and water precisely to replicate different massage techniques. Some jets give a deep, kneading pressure; others a lighter, effervescent touch. Up to 10 massage varieties in total, each jet positioned to target the pressure points used in reflexology and acupressure.

Water care that looks after itself

Water maintenance is the thing most people worry about before buying a hot tub. The Optima’s MicroClean® Ultra filtration system covers 130 square feet of filtration area and is accredited by the US Water Quality Association. Paired with the ClearRay® Active Oxygen system — UV-C technology that tackles bacteria without extra chemicals — the water stays clean with minimal effort on your part.

Built to last

The SunStrong® steel frame underpins the whole structure, and the SunSide® cabinet panels remove tool-free if anything ever needs attention. The warranty gives you a good sense of how Sundance® stand behind their spas: 10 years on the shell, 5 years on the cabinet, 4 years on plumbing and equipment.

Connectivity

The Optima includes Bluetooth speakers and a wireless phone charger. The SmartTub® system lets you manage temperature, lighting, and jets from your phone — so it’s ready at the right temperature before you’ve stepped outside.
