Yes, We Actually Have Swim Spas on Display
Two swim spas, filled, heated and ready to swim in, at our showroom near Bournemouth.
“Have you actually got swim spas here?”
It’s one of the first questions people ask when they come through our door. It’s a fair question. Plenty of companies say they sell swim spas. Far fewer have one you can see, and fewer still have one you can swim in.
We have two. Both are on the showroom floor, filled and heated.
What’s on the showroom floor
Sundance® Surfâ„¢ 17. Our flagship swim spa. Seventeen feet long, with an extra-wide swim lane for a proper swim, and hydrotherapy seating you won’t find bettered in a swim spa. Swim, then sink into a lounger and let the jets work on you.

Riptide Atlantis Pro 4.4. More compact, for gardens with a bit less room. It’s an out-and-out swim spa: no seats, all open space. Room to swim, work out, and work on your fitness and mobility.

Having both side by side matters. You can stand between them and feel the difference between a swim spa built for swimming and relaxing, and one built purely for training. Most people know which is theirs within minutes.
Why swim before you buy
The quality gap across the swim spa market is huge. Some models barely deserve the name: a messy current, little or no adjustment, not enough room to swim properly. A brochure won’t tell you that. A minute in the water will.
That’s why ours are filled. We want you to feel what a really good swim spa is like, and we’ll teach you what to look for while you’re in it. Most people don’t know what separates a good swim spa from a poor one, and there’s no reason they should. Once you do, you can judge any swim spa you look at, including other people’s.
What we’ll show you in the water
1. A smooth current
Lots of white water looks impressive. It’s horrible to swim in. You get churned-up water in your face with every stroke, and if you swim breaststroke it’s no fun at all.
A good swim current is smooth and solid. From the side, a really good swim spa often looks like it isn’t doing much. You feel the difference as soon as you start swimming.
2. Easy adjustment, with plenty of range
At the cheaper end, “adjustment” can mean switching a pump on or off. One pump, two pumps. That’s not much range when a beginner and a strong swimmer want to share the same swim spa.
Further up, some swim spas have several pumps, each with its own valve to set. You end up like a DJ, mixing two or three controls to get the current where you want it.
The best let you set your pace simply, across a wide range of speeds, like a good treadmill or exercise bike.
3. What happens to the water at the far end
Once the water has passed you, it has to go somewhere. How a swim spa deals with that tells you a lot about whether its manufacturer understands swimming. This one is easier to see than describe, so we’ll show you in person.
4. Width, depth and buoyancy
Width and depth decide how freely you can swim and how well you can exercise. We’ll also show you buoyancy jets, what they do, and why they’re worth having.
Who buys a swim spa?
A much wider range of people than you might think.
- Swimmers who are done with the public pool. No lockers, no changing rooms, nobody slower in front of you or faster behind wanting to overtake. Your own lane, in peace, at home.
- Families. Time together, lots of fun, and a great place to teach the little ones to swim and build their confidence in the water.
- Grandparents. Usually for two reasons: their own health and wellbeing, and something that makes the grandchildren want to come round and spend time in the garden.
- People rehabbing an injury. Often not swimmers at all. They want a warm body of water with plenty of room to work out, often after an injury from another sport.
- Triathletes with busy family lives. Getting to the pool takes time they don’t have. A swim spa at home makes training far more efficient.
How a swim appointment works
Swims are by appointment. You can’t turn up and jump in, and that’s deliberate.
It starts with a conversation. Call us, fill in the contact form, or come into the showroom. We’ll find out what you want to achieve. We’re not here to talk you into a swim spa. We’ll be honest with you, and if a swim spa isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you.
We’re straight about budget too. If you’re hoping to buy a great swim spa for £10,000, we’ll tell you honestly that it won’t happen, from us or from anyone. A good swim spa is a real investment. Look at it next to a swimming pool, though, and it’s tremendous value, and you can do more with it.
Leave the practical side to us. Where it goes, how we get it into your garden, the base, the electrics, the right cover: we take the lead on all of it and work through it with you. That’s our job, and it’s a big part of why people come to us.
Then you swim. We have a changing room on site. If you’d like more privacy and our undivided attention, ask for a private wet test appointment. We make sure it’s enjoyable and you come away knowing a lot more than when you arrived.
Site visits come towards the end, once we’re both confident a swim spa is likely to work for you.

Who you’ll be talking to
You’ll be dealing with Terry and Eleanor, who own and run Hyperion. In 2025 we were named Top Swim Spa Retailer at the Sundance® UK Dealer Conference.

In Terry’s words:
“Over the years I’ve installed swim spas of every kind. Compact ones and full-size ones. Some lifted in by crane, some rolled down the garden where a crane couldn’t reach. Some set into the ground, some sat on top. With electric covers, roll covers and standard covers. With heat pumps and without.
So when we talk through your options, I’m not pointing at a catalogue. I’m telling you what I’ve seen work.
A swim spa is a big investment, and one you want to make once. The right one can last you decades. The wrong one isn’t like a car you can swap out. That’s why good advice at the start matters.”
