Do you sell hot tubs?

Yes we do, we have a large, spacious showroom displaying an award winning range of American made Sundance Spas for you to choose from. Head to our Sales page to find out more. Even better, come and see us, we are located in Wimborne, Dorset.

Do you sell Jacuzzi hot tubs?

So, when most people ask this they are actually asking if we sell hot tubs, which we definitely do! However, if you are referring to Jacuzzi the brand of hot tub, then the answer is no we don't. However, we can offer you a range of American made spas that are regarded as the best available, so we are still well worth a visit!

Are your hot tubs self-cleaning?

Yes, they are! Well, to a degree.

No hot tub in the world, with no exceptions, truly cleans itself. However, our spas have amazing two-stage filtration that can remove particles down to a minute 3-microns! After this your water then passes through two more stages, where it is further cleaned by both Uv light and ozone to create active oxygen.

It works so well, that Sundance Spas was the first and only spa/hot tub manufacturer to receive an award from the American Water Quality Association for spa/hot tub water filtration.

Where is your hot tub showroom?

You can find us at:

Unit 8-9, Uddens Trading Estate, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 7LL.

For those who are local, we are on the estate behind The Old Thatch Pub.

How will you deliver the hot tub?

For hot tub deliveries, we have a Van and trailer. Swim spa deliveries will normally be by flat bed truck, you will also need room for the required size of crane to access your property. If you think this might be a problem due to restricted access or lack of parking, please talk to us beforehand.

What access do you need to install the hot tub?

This will vary depending on your chosen model of hot tub or swim spa. We can talk through your requirements in store and will be more than happy to carry out a complimentary site survey where we can advise you further. However to give a general idea, you will need 1 meter in width and 2.5m in height for many of the hot tub models.

In some instances a crane may be required, you can see more about that here.

Where can I put a hot tub?

To ensure your investment lasts as long as possible and performs at its best, its vital that your hot tub/swim spa is placed on a firm and level surface. A concrete base is the gold standard, though good solid paving or decking can also work.

Do I need an outside tap and electricity for the hot tub?

To get the best from your hot tub, we would always advise that it is hard wired into the mains, on its own dedicated supply. Each model has varying requirements, we can talk you through the differences and what the benefits are to each.

Water does not need to be right next to your spa, but its important that you can reach it with a hose to make both draining and filling as easy as possible.

How long does a hot tub take to warm up?

This varies due to:

  • Time of year
  • Ingoing water temperature
  • The size of the spa
  • The power of the heating element.

For example in winter on average it could take up to 24hrs, whereas in summer it could be less than 12 hours. Swim spas due to their much larger size can take a day or two, though again this is down to the factors already mentioned.

Should I turn off or unplug my hot tub at night?

No, please do not turn the hot tub off at any point unless there is a safety issue or you are performing maintenance. There is no benefit to doing so and it will actually increase the running cost of the hot tub and will decrease water quality as the filters will be unable to run as they should. If you plan to shut your hot tub down for any length of time, please ask us for advice on this as there are certain steps to follow.

Do I need to do anything to look after a hot tub?

Yes you will need to carry out regular water testing, we will provide you with everything you need and show you how to do it. You will also need to clean the filter cartridge to maintain water quality. Water changes are advised around the 3 month point, but again we will give you further advice on this.

How clean is a hot tub?

Hot tubs can and should be a very clean place to be and by following some simple steps its easy to achieve too. You should:

  • Always shower before use
  • Test your water often and before every use
  • Clean filters regularly
  • Replace the water as needed, approximately every 3 months.

It is worth keeping an eye out for an hot tub foam that can sometimes appear. If you find your hot tub has foam, see how to get rid of hot tub foam in our guide.

What happens to the water when I drain my hot tub?

You have a couple of options. Some people choose to let the chemical levels in the water drop, before using it to water parts of their garden, though this should be avoided at all costs if there are water courses nearby. Alternatively, the water can be pumped to waste down a nearby house drain.

Will you service my hot tub?

Yes we carry out regular maintenance and service work on behalf of our customers. However at this time we only look after spas that we have sold at Hyperion.
