The Riptide Atlantis Pro 7.0 is a dedicated swim spa for staying active at home, with room for the family to join you.

A Swim Spa With No Seats, Built Purely for Swimming

Many swim spas share their length with hot tub seats, which suits people who want both in one. The Atlantis is for those who came to swim. There are no seats, no loungers and no step-down benches, so all 7 metres is open water. You have more room to stretch out, a clear run at the current, and space to walk or exercise without anything in the way.

At 706.5 × 235 cm, it fits a garden that could never take a pool. It stands 154 cm tall, and that depth lets you swim with your body level in the water.

The current. Four 3-inch swim jets push water down the length of the pool. Each one has a honeycomb grille inside that straightens the flow. You swim into a smooth, even stream, not a churn of bubbles.

Inverter Pumps For The Smoothest Swim

Ten speeds, and you only pay for the one you use. The swim pumps are inverter pumps. They change speed to match your setting, so a typical daily swim uses around a quarter to a third of full power. The current stays smooth and steady at every level, and the pumps run quietly.

The handrail. A rail at the end gives a steady hold for aqua aerobics, for grandchildren learning to swim, or for anyone finding their stroke. A swim pole and resistance band are available as extras.

Warm all year. The cabinet is filled with foam insulation to keep the heat in through a British winter.

Clear water. Ozone and two large filters keep the water clean, with a dedicated pump circulating it around the clock.

Easy to run. Set speed, temperature and lighting from the touchscreen, or from your phone over WiFi. Bluetooth audio plays through speakers mounted under the shell, plus a built-in subwoofer. Colour-changing LEDs light the waterline, the pool floor and the fountains.

The Atlantis holds 13,554 litres. That’s a fraction of a swimming pool, and the water is typically changed once a year.

What an inverter pump is

An inverter controls the speed of the pump’s motor electronically. The pump isn’t stuck at one fixed speed. It can run slowly, flat out, or anywhere between. On the Atlantis, you choose from ten steps.

That matters for three reasons: running cost, noise and the feel of the water.

Running cost

The pumps only draw the power each setting needs. Riptide’s figures for the two swim pumps:

Setting 1: around 670 watts
Settings 3 to 4, where most people swim day to day: 1,132 to 1,406 watts
Setting 10, full strength: around 4,730 watts

So a typical daily swim uses roughly a quarter to a third of full power. The gentlest setting uses about a seventh.

Noise

A pump turning slowly is a quiet pump. On the lower settings you hear the water more than the machinery.

The feel of the water

The inverter holds the current steady at whatever level you pick. It doesn’t surge or pulse. You find your rhythm and the water stays with you.

What makes the current smooth

Honeycomb jets. Each of the four 3-inch swim jets has a honeycomb grille inside. It straightens the water before it reaches you, so you swim into an even stream, not churning bubbles.
Wide pipework. The swim system runs on 3-inch pipes. A wide pipe moves a large volume of water to the jets without the pumps having to force it.
Depth. At 154 cm tall, the pool is deep enough to swim with your body level, without your feet dragging the floor.

Ten speeds, many uses

Lower settings: water walking, gentle exercise, children learning to swim, or easing back after an injury.
Middle settings: a steady daily swim.
Top settings: hard resistance training.

Swim aids

Handrail: something steady to hold for aqua aerobics, or while finding your stroke.
